DAMA MAX-Jordan |

With extensive years of experience in the telecom industry, the team at DAMA Ventures has astute industry savvy and an advantageous foothold into the market. A few years earlier, senior members of the current DAMA Ventures team led and managed Umniah Mobile Company, Jordan’s 4th mobile operator, a business many industry specialists and investors believed would not succeed given Jordan’s well established mobile incumbent international operators. Under their leadership, Umniah became one of the biggest regional success stories in the telecom sector.
At DAMA Ventures, our team of experts is always looking ahead. Today they understand that in the information and telecommunications sector, broadband and secure data management is where growth will be most prominent. While the regional mobile business continues to mature, DAMA Ventures believes the telecom industry will continue to witness high growth, particularly in broadband and data management, owing to growing demand and a low real penetration rate of less than 7% in the broadband internet market.
Accordingly, DAMA Ventures has divested its focus to broadband, fiber-to-business connectivity, managed data centers and related services that add value through DAMA MAX Jordan, a mid-user focused company, which signed a multi-million dollar agreement with the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) in Jordan to employ Dark Fiber Optics through its network. This agreement avails high speed data communication, internet services across the Kingdom, and additional options for internet service providers thus reducing costs for them and for end users while offering them a host of services that add value and support their business models. With the resulting increase in market penetration, new infrastructure is required—which means more growth for the country and for the business.
